Read the Description   Review Date: January 26, 2007 Reviewer: Robert Cutchins, Portsmouth, Virginia United States I can't say there was anything wrong with this item, other than the fact it was not appropriate for the device on which I wanted to use it. The description does read that it is for EARLY GENERATION IPODS, and not the newer versions. Unfortunately, I didn't see that BEFORE purchasing the item. It's a shame Apple did not continue Firewire support for later IPODS. Returned the item for a refund, and will go with the USB connector.
